Privacy Policy

Draft for launch. Have a lawyer check it against the states and countries you sell in.

What we collect

• Account: name, email, password (stored hashed), and for artists a display name, city, bio, photos and links you choose to share.
• Orders: shipping address, what you bought, and the payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
• Activity: collections, saves, follows, messages, reviews, and reports you make.
• Technical: IP address, browser, and pages visited, in server logs kept for 30 days.

What we do with it

• Run the marketplace: show listings, process orders, pay artists, send transactional email.
• Review listings and applications, and investigate reports and disputes. Staff may read messages when handling a dispute.
• Improve the site using aggregate numbers. We do not sell personal data and we do not run advertising, so there is no ad tracking.

Who sees it

Artists see the shipping name and address for their own orders, and your first name in messages and reviews. Stripe processes payments and artist payouts. Our hosting provider stores the data. Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

Your choices

You can edit your details from your account page, make collections secret, and close your account. Closing removes your profile and collections; order records are kept as long as tax law requires. Email hello@mauerhouse.art to ask for a copy of your data or its deletion.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. There are no advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

Children

Mauer House is for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

We will email you before any change that affects how your data is used.
